Setting goals was a pretty novel concept to me 5 years ago. I never knew people actually sat down to set goals and then worked on them as if they got an assignment from school. So like you actually write them down? What a nerd. Somehow, I grew unhappier with my life and decided to give this writing your goals down thing a chance. Even though I did many things wrong, I did something right, because for the last 3 years I’ve been achieving some of my big goals. Most of that thanks to developing more positive habits in my life. Here I want to share some ideas that can inspire you to take action too.

Outcome Goal examples
Outcome goals are larger goals that you’re working towards and want to achieve over time. Process goals are the small steps you want to take, but outcome goals are the direction in which you’re going. They’re the big ones, the goals where you need to dream big. Outcome goals are not really in your control and they don’t necessarily need to be specific or measurable. What they must be is something you truly desire. Here are some examples:
- own and live in a huge house by the lake
- have $100,000 in savings by the end of the year
- travel to all the continents of the world
- get married / be in a happy relationship
- become a multimillionaire
- become the best guitar player in the country
- be in the best physical shape of my life
- have a beautiful healthy baby
- speak Spanish fluently
- be debt-free by the end of the year
- lose 10 pounds by March 1st
- start my own business and make $50,000 in sales during the first year
- live in a beautiful, tidy and organized home that I own
- be confident and trust myself more
- have a loving relationship with my family
- be more patient and present
